A few words before
I never thought about becoming a content creator seriously. At the time of writing this, I’m still not, but to justify the investment I’ve made, I’ll say it’s my hobby. It was during 2020–2021, in times of pandemic and post-pandemic, when I discovered Twitch, drawn to the site by the vtuber boom of that time. I was just another observer, not taking it too seriously.
By 2023, meeting certain content creators during a rather unpleasant period in life led me to the idea of starting to stream. It was an impulsive decision, but surprisingly I’ve lasted in this space through ups and downs. Now past the middle of 2025, I can say it’s been a good experience, and I hope the next years will be even better. With this strange attempt at a preface over, in the following paragraphs I’ll take the liberty of detailing the people who have played a role in this digital adventure. I hope I don’t fall into parasocial territory, but it’s my page and I can write freely.
The credits as such
Kano Waves
When I think about who was the trigger for my desire to create online content, the first person that comes to mind is Kano. The energy with which she streamed—drawing or chatting—the affection she showed her community, and the affection she received back, is a fond memory. When I started making videos, the only thing on my mind was how I could be like her, how to imitate her energy, how to imitate that kindness she radiated. She was also my inspiration to pick up a pencil and start drawing, something I had never managed before. You can find her Twitter here
Meowstical
The second person that comes to mind is Meowstical. I met her thanks to a collaboration she did. She might be the one who has had the biggest impact during this time, already two years. When I had absolutely nothing to do, her laughter and her strange conversation topics kept me entertained. I didn’t even know her main game, Lost Ark, and still I’d sit for hours just listening to her. Something curious happens when we consume content, whether online or on television: we tend to dehumanize content creators, as if they were “products” whose only value is to entertain us. Thanks to Meow, I was quickly able to break out of that initial mindset and came to see these contents as coming from people for who they are: People. I have a lot of affection and respect for her, and I’m grateful for her presence these years and her influence in both my virtual and personal life. You can find her Twitter profile here
TiraLeafu
Perhaps she’s the one where I’m at the most risk of being parasocial. There are some Discord conversations of me writing drunk that I wish didn’t exist. But nothing to be done.
Like the two above, her energy, the way she interacts with her community, her ability to talk nonsense so fluently, and her artistic skills make me admire her. Sometimes it’s too much energy for me, to the point I need to get up from my chair to take a breath and breaks regularly, but even so, I enjoy her content a lot. Her Twitter here
The Mentas
Originally, I was only going to talk about Mintchaex, but I think everyone involved is equally important here. One day on Twitch, a drawing of Yae Miko caught my attention. It was a vtuber with an alien avatar: Mintchaex. Who would have thought that she and her community would become my closest friends now. Mintchaex, Bryan_247724, KrowConK, Eriksukyre, Vdiaa, JaegerGhoul, Verlinis... I’ve even met one of them in person. For such a diverse group, I’m glad to have met them all, and how could I speak of their influence if I’m ultimately part of their communities. Most of my channel decisions go through them first.
Other influences
If I were to write down every person who has influenced these years of streaming, it would be a “Sisyphean” task given the number of people, and the number of people to add in the future. Important mentions are TsukikoYuu, whom I’ve watched since her debut and appreciate a lot, being my favorite idol with a great voice. MeruruRuruna is a vtuber I also appreciate a lot, and I regret that my schedule doesn’t align much with her streaming times, otherwise I’d constantly be watching her draw or simply play Persona 5 for an entire year. KuhakuHitsugi was a friendship I didn’t expect, but being the most regular English speaker in my community, I hold him in high regard. I also appreciate Delri, Ecrivain, Maple… Anyway, out of respect for time, it’s not possible to include everyone, but even if you’re not specifically named, I carry all of you in my heart every day.
Art credits
With the general credits finished, it’s natural to move on to the art credits or channel elements. I must mention this may not be a complete list. If you’re an artist and see that I didn’t tag you, feel free to message me through the different social networks and I’ll make sure to fix it.
